Prulicon Tablet 2 mg contains Prucalopride Succinate, a selective serotonin (5-HT4) receptor agonist used in the treatment of chronic constipation. It is prescribed when lower doses are not sufficient to improve bowel movement regularity. Prucalopride helps stimulate intestinal motility and supports normal bowel function in patients with chronic idiopathic constipation.

Indications
Prulicon Tablet 2 mg is indicated for:
-
Chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC)
-
Functional constipation in adults
-
Constipation not responding to laxatives
-
Slow bowel transit conditions (as prescribed by physician)
Mechanism of Action
Prucalopride selectively activates serotonin (5-HT4) receptors in the gastrointestinal tract. This action enhances colonic peristalsis (natural intestinal muscle contractions), increases bowel motility, and helps speed up stool passage. As a result, it improves bowel frequency and reduces symptoms of constipation.
