How Arotrix Cream Works

Permethrin acts directly on the nervous system of mites by disrupting sodium channel function in nerve cell membranes. This causes paralysis and ultimately kills the parasites and their eggs.

• Destroying mite eggs
• Reducing the spread of infestation
• Relieving itching and skin irritation as the infestation resolves

Dosage and Administration

• Use only as directed by a registered physician.
• Wash and thoroughly dry the skin before application.
• Apply a thin layer of cream to the entire body from the neck down, including skin folds, fingers, toes, soles of the feet, and under the nails. In infants, young children, older adults, or when advised by a doctor, application may also include the scalp, neck, forehead, and temples, avoiding the eyes and mouth.
• Leave the cream on for 8–14 hours (usually overnight), then wash it off thoroughly with soap and water.
• A second application may be recommended after 7–14 days if advised by your healthcare provider.
• Wash clothing, bedding, and towels used before treatment in hot water to help prevent reinfestation.
• Close household contacts may also require treatment, even if they have no symptoms.
