Carnovas Tablet 10 mg contains Nebivolol Hydrochloride, a highly selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker used primarily in the management of hypertension and certain cardiovascular conditions. Nebivolol is a third-generation beta-blocker that not only reduces heart rate and blood pressure but also promotes vasodilation through nitric oxide release, providing additional cardiovascular benefits.
Carnovas 10 mg is prescribed to help control high blood pressure (hypertension), thereby reducing the risk of serious complications such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems. By lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow, it supports overall heart health and long-term cardiovascular protection.

Beta-blocker, Antihypertensive agent
Carnovas Tablet 10 mg is indicated for:
Management of essential hypertension
Treatment of chronic heart failure (in selected patients)
Reduction of cardiovascular risk associated with high blood pressure
It may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents as advised by a physician.
Nebivolol is a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist. It works by blocking beta-1 receptors in the heart, which leads to a reduction in heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output. As a result, blood pressure decreases.
In addition to beta-blockade, Nebivolol enhances nitric oxide-mediated vasodilation. This dual mechanism improves arterial compliance and peripheral circulation. Unlike some older beta-blockers, Nebivolol has minimal impact on beta-2 receptors in the lungs and peripheral vasculature, making it better tolerated in many patients.
The usual recommended dose for hypertension in adults is 5 mg once daily. However, Carnovas Tablet 10 mg may be prescribed depending on the patient’s clinical condition and physician’s assessment.
Take the tablet once daily at the same time each day.
It can be taken with or without food.
Dosage adjustment may be required in elderly patients or those with renal or hepatic impairment.
Patients should follow their healthcare provider’s instructions carefully and should not discontinue the medication abruptly without medical advice.
Use with caution in patients with bradycardia, heart block, or severe hepatic impairment.
Sudden discontinuation may worsen angina or precipitate myocardial infarction.
Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly during treatment.
Inform the doctor if there is a history of asthma, diabetes, thyroid disorders, or peripheral vascular disease.
Carnovas Tablet 10 mg is generally well tolerated. However, some patients may experience:
Headache
Dizziness
Fatigue
Bradycardia
Nausea
Most side effects are mild and temporary. Seek medical attention if severe or persistent symptoms occur.
Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
