Composition

Each film-coated tablet contains:

Mechanism of Action

Daprodustat works by inhibiting hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase enzymes. This leads to stabilization of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF), which stimulates endogenous erythropoietin production in the kidneys and liver. Increased erythropoietin enhances red blood cell production in the bone marrow, improving oxygen-carrying capacity and correcting anemia in chronic kidney disease.

Indications

Daprosis Tablet 6 mg is indicated for:

• Anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in adults
• Patients on dialysis and non-dialysis CKD patients (as prescribed)
• Treatment of reduced hemoglobin levels due to impaired erythropoietin production
• Management of anemia where injectable erythropoiesis-stimulating agents are not preferred

Dosage and Administration

• To be taken orally as directed by a physician
• Dosage is individualized based on hemoglobin levels and patient response
• Can be taken with or without food
• Regular monitoring of hemoglobin levels is essential
• Dose adjustments are made gradually to avoid excessive rise in hemoglobin

Contraindications
