Composition

Each tablet contains:

• Empagliflozin 5 mg
• Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg

Indications

Glycenor M Tablet is indicated for:

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Patients inadequately controlled with metformin or other monotherapy
• Combination therapy with diet and exercise
• Reduction of cardiovascular risk in appropriate diabetic patients (as advised by physician)

Pharmacological Action

This combination works through two complementary mechanisms:

• Empagliflozin: Inhibits SGLT2 in the kidneys, increasing urinary glucose excretion and lowering blood glucose independently of insulin
• Metformin: Reduces hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity

Dosage & Administration
