Lifil-A 50000 IU is a high-potency vitamin A preparation used to prevent and treat vitamin A deficiency. Vitamin A is essential for vision, growth, immune function, and the maintenance of healthy skin, hair, and epithelial tissues. Lifil-A 50000 IU is particularly effective in managing ophthalmological conditions like night blindness and xerophthalmia, as well as dermatological and mucosal disorders such as acne vulgaris, ichthyosis, Darier’s disease, and psoriasis.
This preparation supports overall health by promoting proper growth, enhancing resistance to infections, and restoring normal epithelial function. It is also used to meet increased vitamin A demands during recovery from diarrhea, respiratory infections, and for prophylaxis against measles.

Vitamin A exists as retinol, retinal, and beta-carotene, which provide reliable antixerophthalmic and growth-promoting activity.
Vision: Retinal combines with opsin in the retina to form rhodopsin, essential for low-light vision and dark adaptation.
Cellular Growth: Vitamin A preserves epithelial cell integrity and supports normal growth.
Immune Function: Enhances resistance to infections by maintaining mucosal integrity.
Absorption & Storage: Vitamin A is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract with the aid of bile salts, pancreatic lipase, and dietary fat. It is transported to the liver and stored mainly as retinol palmitate in Kupffer cells for future use.
