It helps reduce eye inflammation, redness, swelling, and discomfort while simultaneously treating bacterial infections.

Loteprednol Etabonate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the eye by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators. Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria responsible for eye infections. Together, this combination provides both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action, making it effective in managing mixed infectious and inflammatory eye conditions.

Loteba Suspension is commonly prescribed in conditions such as conjunctivitis with inflammation, post-operative eye inflammation with infection risk, and other bacterial eye infections accompanied by swelling or irritation.

Composition

Indications

Loteba Suspension is indicated for:

• Bacterial conjunctivitis with inflammation
• Post-operative ocular inflammation with infection risk
• Blepharitis with bacterial infection
• Steroid-responsive inflammatory eye conditions with infection
• Eye redness, swelling, and irritation due to infection

How It Works

• Loteprednol Etabonate reduces ocular inflammation by suppressing inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and cytokines.
• Tobramycin kills susceptible bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis at the ribosomal level.

This dual action helps control infection while reducing inflammation and discomfort.

Dosage & Administration

• Use strictly as prescribed by an ophthalmologist.
• Usually instill 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) 2–4 times daily depending on severity.
• Shake well before use.
• Wash hands before application and avoid touching the dropper tip.

Directions for Use

1. Shake the bottle well.
2. Tilt head backward and pull down the lower eyelid.
3. Instill the prescribed number of drops.
4. Close eyes gently for a few seconds.
5. Wait 5–10 minutes before using other eye medications.

Possible Side Effects

Some patients may experience:

• Temporary eye burning or stinging
