Monas Tablet 10 mg contains Montelukast Sodium, a leukotriene receptor antagonist widely prescribed for the long-term management of asthma and allergic rhinitis. It works by blocking leukotrienes—chemical mediators released during allergic and inflammatory reactions that cause airway narrowing, swelling, and mucus production.
Monas 10 mg is typically indicated for adults and adolescents aged 15 years and above, providing effective control of respiratory allergies and chronic asthma symptoms. With once-daily dosing, it offers convenient and consistent symptom management, improving overall quality of life.

Monas Tablet 10 mg is indicated for:
Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma
Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction
Relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
Relief of perennial allergic rhinitis
Reduction of nighttime asthma symptoms
It is not intended for the immediate relief of acute asthma attacks but plays an important role in long-term control therapy.
Montelukast Sodium acts by:
Selectively blocking cysteinyl leukotriene type-1 (CysLT1) receptors
Preventing leukotriene-induced airway inflammation
Reducing bronchoconstriction and mucus secretion
Decreasing airway edema and hypersensitivity
By targeting leukotrienes rather than histamines, Monas provides effective control of both allergic and inflammatory components of respiratory disease.
