Indications

Moxidex Eye Drop is indicated for:

• Bacterial conjunctivitis with inflammation
• Post-operative ocular inflammation with risk of infection

• Keratitis (bacterial) under medical supervision
• Other inflammatory eye conditions where corticosteroid-antibiotic therapy is required

Mechanism of Action

This combination works through dual therapeutic actions:

• Moxifloxacin: Inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, stopping bacterial replication and leading to bacterial cell death
• Dexamethasone: Suppresses inflammatory mediators, reducing swelling, redness, itching, and immune response in ocular tissues

Dosage and Administration

• Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) as prescribed by a physician
• Usually used 2 to 4 times daily, depending on severity

• Remove contact lenses before use and wait before reinsertion
