Composition

Each gram of cream contains:

• Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride 1%
• Nystatin 2%

Indications

Nyclo Cream is indicated for:

• Fungal skin infections (candidiasis)
• Bacterial and fungal mixed skin infections
• Intertrigo (skin fold infections)
• Diaper rash with secondary infection
• Cutaneous infections in moist areas
• Prevention of infection in minor skin injuries

Mechanism of Action

• Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride acts as an antiseptic by disrupting the cell membrane of bacteria, leading to cell death. It provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity.
• Nystatin binds to sterols in fungal cell membranes, increasing permeability and causing leakage of cellular components, leading to fungal cell death.

Together, they provide dual action against both bacterial and fungal infections.

Dosage and Administration

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area as directed by a physician
• Usually applied 2–3 times daily
• Clean and dry the affected area before application
• Wash hands before and after use
• Do not cover with tight bandages unless advised
