Triovix Tablet is a fixed-dose combination antiretroviral medicine containing Lamivudine 150 mg, Zidovudine 300 mg, and Nevirapine 200 mg. It is primarily used in the management of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1) infection. By combining three well-established antiretroviral agents in a single tablet, Triovix helps simplify treatment regimens, improve patient adherence, and effectively suppress viral replication.

Antiretroviral Drugs (Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors + Non-Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor)
Triovix Tablet is indicated for:
Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents
Combination antiretroviral therapy as part of a complete HIV treatment regimen
Reducing viral load and increasing CD4 cell count
Slowing disease progression and lowering the risk of HIV-related complications
It should be used under the supervision of a physician experienced in the management of HIV infection.
Triovix combines three antiretroviral agents with complementary mechanisms of action:
Lamivudine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) that interferes with viral DNA synthesis by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme.
Zidovudine, also an NRTI, prevents HIV from replicating by incorporating into viral DNA and causing chain termination.
Nevirapine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) that binds directly to reverse transcriptase, causing structural changes that inhibit its activity.
Together, these agents work synergistically to suppress HIV replication, reduce viral load, and improve immune function.
The dosage of Triovix Tablet should be determined by a qualified healthcare professional based on the patient’s clinical condition, treatment history, and response to therapy. The tablet is usually taken orally, with or without food. Strict adherence to the prescribed dosing schedule is essential to prevent drug resistance and maintain treatment effectiveness.

Not recommended for patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, headache, fatigue, dizziness, and skin rash. More serious effects such as liver toxicity, blood disorders, or severe hypersensitivity reactions may occur and require immediate medical attention.
