Utramal Injection 100 mg/2 ml contains Tramadol Hydrochloride, a centrally acting analgesic used for the management of moderate to severe pain. This injectable form provides rapid pain relief, making it ideal for hospital settings, post-operative care, or situations where oral administration is not feasible.
Tramadol works by binding to mu-opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord and inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin. This dual mechanism enhances the perception of pain relief and provides effective analgesia for acute and chronic pain conditions.
Utramal Injection is commonly used for post-operative pain, trauma-related pain, musculoskeletal pain, and other moderate to severe pain conditions where immediate pain control is required.

Tramadol provides analgesia through dual mechanisms:
Opioid receptor agonism: Activates mu-opioid receptors in the central nervous system to reduce pain perception.
Monoamine reuptake inhibition: Inhibits reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, enhancing the analgesic effect.
This combination ensures effective central pain control in various clinical situations.
