Indications

Viera Tablet is indicated for:

• Invasive aspergillosis
• Candidemia (Candida bloodstream infections)
• Esophageal candidiasis
• Serious fungal infections resistant to other antifungals
• Fungal infections in immunocompromised patients (e.g., cancer or transplant patients)

Mechanism of Action

Voriconazole inhibits fungal cytochrome P450–dependent enzyme (14-alpha-sterol demethylase), leading to:

• Disruption of ergosterol synthesis

Dosage and Administration
