A-Fenac IM Injection is indicated for the short-term management of pain and inflammation in various conditions, including:

Pharmacology

Diclofenac Sodium exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), resulting in reduced synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. The intramuscular route allows rapid absorption, leading to faster onset of analgesic action compared to oral formulations.

Mechanism of Action

Dosage and Administration

• Adults: 75 mg administered by deep intramuscular injection, usually into the gluteal muscle
