Ace Suspension 120 mg/5 ml is a pediatric paracetamol formulation used for the relief of fever and mild to moderate pain in children. It is widely prescribed for common childhood conditions such as fever due to infections or vaccination, as well as various painful conditions. Ace Suspension is gentle on the stomach when used as directed and is suitable for short-term symptomatic relief under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
Ace Suspension is indicated for the relief of:
Fever
Common cold and influenza
Headache
Toothache and earache
Body ache, myalgia, and neuralgia
Dysmenorrhoea
Sprains and colic pain
Back pain
Post-operative and postpartum pain
Inflammatory pain
Post-vaccination pain in children
Rheumatic and osteoarthritic pain and joint stiffness
Use as advised by a registered physician.
Paracetamol acts as an analgesic by blocking the generation of pain impulses in the central nervous system and produces antipyretic effects by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating centre. It increases the pain threshold and reduces fever without significant peripheral anti-inflammatory activity, making it safer for children compared to many NSAIDs when used correctly.
