Avlosef Suspension 125 mg/5 ml contains Cephradine, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic widely used for the treatment of various bacterial infections. This oral suspension is specially formulated for children and patients who have difficulty swallowing solid dosage forms, ensuring convenient and accurate dosing.
Cephradine works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of susceptible bacteria. It is effective against a broad range of Gram-positive and some Gram-negative organisms, making it a dependable choice for common infections.

Composition
-
Active Ingredient: Cephradine
-
Strength: 125 mg per 5 ml

Mechanism of Action
Cephradine exerts its bactericidal effect by interfering with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), preventing the formation of peptidoglycan, an essential structural component. This leads to weakening and rupture of the bacterial cell wall, ultimately causing cell death.
