Cyclotox Injection 1 gm/vial contains Cyclophosphamide, a powerful alkylating agent used in cancer chemotherapy and selected autoimmune conditions. It is widely used in hospital oncology and hematology settings for the management of both solid tumors and hematological malignancies. Cyclophosphamide works by interfering with DNA replication in rapidly dividing cells, thereby inhibiting cancer cell growth and suppressing abnormal immune responses.
This higher-strength formulation is typically used in moderate to high-dose chemotherapy protocols where precise dosing and hospital supervision are required.

Composition
Each vial contains:
Mechanism of Action
Cyclophosphamide is a prodrug that is metabolized in the liver into active alkylating metabolites, including phosphoramide mustard and acrolein. These metabolites bind to DNA strands and form cross-links between them. This prevents DNA replication and RNA transcription, ultimately leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis (cell death).
Because rapidly dividing cells are more sensitive to DNA damage, Cyclophosphamide is particularly effective against cancer cells and immune cells involved in autoimmune diseases.
