Composition

Each vial contains:

Mechanism of Action

Cyclophosphamide is a prodrug that is metabolized in the liver into active alkylating metabolites, including phosphoramide mustard and acrolein. These metabolites bind to DNA strands and form cross-links between them. This prevents DNA replication and RNA transcription, ultimately leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis (cell death).

Because rapidly dividing cells are more sensitive to DNA damage, Cyclophosphamide is particularly effective against cancer cells and immune cells involved in autoimmune diseases.

Indications

Cyclotox Injection 1 gm/vial is indicated for the treatment of:

• Hodgkin’s lymphoma
• Non-Hodgkin lymphoma
• Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)
• Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)
• Multiple myeloma
• Breast cancer
• Ovarian cancer
• Lung cancer (in combination regimens)
• Neuroblastoma and other solid tumors
• Severe autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), vasculitis, and nephrotic syndrome (when prescribed by specialists)

Dosage and Administration

• Administered only under strict medical supervision
• Given intravenously (IV) as per oncology protocol; oral or IM use depends on clinical judgment
• Dosage is individualized based on body surface area, disease type, and treatment regimen
• Adequate hydration before, during, and after administration is essential
• Mesna may be co-administered in high-dose therapy to reduce risk of hemorrhagic cystitis

Contraindications
