Composition

Indications

Dermasim Topical Solution is indicated for the treatment of:

• Ringworm (Tinea corporis)
• Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis)
• Jock itch (Tinea cruris)
• Fungal infections of the scalp and body
• Cutaneous candidiasis
• Pityriasis versicolor

Mechanism of Action

Clotrimazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption weakens the cell membrane, causing leakage of cellular contents and ultimately leading to the death of the fungal cells.

Dosage and Administration

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily or as directed by a physician
• Clean and dry the affected area before application
• Apply gently and evenly over the infected skin
• Wash hands before and after use
• Continue treatment for the full prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve early
