Dulong 30 mg contains dapoxetine, a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) specifically developed for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) in adult men. It helps improve control over ejaculation, increase the time to ejaculation, and reduce distress or interpersonal difficulties associated with PE.

Dulong 30 mg is indicated for the treatment of premature ejaculation in men aged 18 to 64 years who have:
Persistent or recurrent ejaculation with minimal sexual stimulation before, on, or shortly after penetration and before the patient wishes
Marked personal distress or interpersonal difficulty due to premature ejaculation
Poor control over ejaculation
It is prescribed only when the condition significantly affects quality of life and relationships.
Drugs for Erectile Dysfunction
Dapoxetine works by inhibiting the neuronal reuptake of serotonin (5-HT), thereby increasing serotonin activity in the nervous system. Serotonin plays an important inhibitory role in ejaculation.
The ejaculatory process involves a complex neural network that includes spinal and cerebral centers. These centers coordinate sympathetic, parasympathetic, and somatic responses during sexual activity.
By increasing serotonin levels in descending brain pathways, dapoxetine enhances inhibitory control over ejaculation. Three serotonin receptor subtypes are believed to contribute to this effect:
5-HT1A
5-HT1B
5-HT2C
Through modulation of these pathways, Dulong 30 mg helps delay ejaculation and improve sexual satisfaction.
Adults (18–64 years):
Recommended starting dose: 30 mg, taken as needed approximately 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity
If 30 mg is insufficient and side effects are tolerable, the dose may be increased to 60 mg
Maximum recommended frequency: One dose every 24 hours
It should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water to reduce the risk of dizziness or fainting.
Caution is advised when used with:
CNS active medicinal products (limited evaluation in PE patients)
PDE5 inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil, tadalafil): May reduce orthostatic tolerance
Alpha-blockers (e.g., tamsulosin): Increased risk of orthostatic hypotension
Warfarin: Use cautiously due to limited data
Alcohol: Increases risk of dizziness, drowsiness, slow reflexes, syncope, and accidental injury
Concomitant use with the following is contraindicated:
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
Thioridazine
SSRIs, SNRIs, TCAs
Other serotonergic medicinal or herbal products
Proper washout periods must be observed.
Dulong 30 mg is contraindicated in patients with:
Known hypersensitivity to dapoxetine
Significant cardiac conditions (e.g., heart failure NYHA class II–IV, conduction abnormalities without pacemaker, ischemic heart disease, significant valvular disease)
Concomitant treatment with MAOIs or thioridazine
Concomitant use of serotonergic antidepressants
Common side effects include:
Dizziness
Headache
Somnolence
Tremor
Blurred vision
Tinnitus
Nausea
Diarrhea
Abdominal pain
Dry mouth
Fatigue
Insomnia
Hypertension
Most adverse effects are mild to moderate and dose-related.
Use cautiously in patients with:
Bleeding disorders
Epilepsy
Susceptibility to angle-closure glaucoma
Raised intraocular pressure
Known CYP2D6 poor metabolizers
Patients should avoid alcohol while taking this medication due to increased risk of adverse effects and fainting.

In studies, doses up to 240 mg did not produce unexpected adverse effects. Overdose symptoms may include:
Somnolence
Nausea and vomiting
Tachycardia
Tremor
Agitation
Dizziness
Supportive treatment should be provided as necessary.
Dapoxetine is not indicated for use in women. It is unknown whether dapoxetine or its metabolites are excreted in breast milk.
