Ferimax Injection 200 mg/10 ml contains Iron Sucrose, a parenteral iron preparation used for the treatment of iron deficiency when oral iron therapy is ineffective, not tolerated, or contraindicated. It is especially beneficial in patients who require rapid replenishment of iron stores, such as those with chronic kidney disease, ongoing blood loss, or conditions associated with impaired iron absorption.
Iron deficiency is a common cause of anemia and can lead to fatigue, weakness, reduced physical capacity, and impaired cognitive function. Ferimax Injection provides elemental iron directly into the bloodstream, allowing immediate availability for hemoglobin synthesis and erythropoiesis. Due to its favorable safety profile and controlled release of iron, Iron Sucrose is widely used in hospital and clinical settings.

Parenteral Iron Preparations
Ferimax Injection is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia in the following conditions:
Chronic kidney disease, including patients on hemodialysis
Iron deficiency anemia when oral iron therapy is ineffective or not tolerated
Patients requiring rapid iron replacement
Anemia associated with pregnancy and postpartum period (when oral therapy is unsuitable)
Anemia due to chronic blood loss
Malabsorption syndromes
Iron Sucrose is a stable iron–carbohydrate complex that delivers iron in a controlled manner. After intravenous administration, iron is dissociated from the sucrose complex and transported by transferrin to target tissues, particularly the bone marrow, where it is utilized for hemoglobin synthesis. Excess iron is stored as ferritin in the liver, spleen, and bone marrow.
Compared to other parenteral iron preparations, Iron Sucrose has a lower risk of severe hypersensitivity reactions and allows repeated dosing with good tolerability.
Administered by intravenous injection or infusion
The dosage and total cumulative dose depend on the patient’s iron deficit and clinical condition
Must be administered under medical supervision
Note: Do not administer intramuscularly.
