Indications

Flamyd V Vaginal Gel 1.30% is indicated for the treatment of:

• Bacterial vaginosis (BV): Non-specific vaginitis caused by anaerobic bacteria such as Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides spp., and anaerobic streptococci.

• Urogenital trichomoniasis: Caused by Trichomonas vaginalis (when used as adjunct therapy).

• Prevention of post-operative infections in gynecological procedures associated with anaerobic bacterial contamination.

Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration

• Recommended dose: One applicator full of Flamyd V Vaginal Gel (approximately 5 grams, containing 65 mg of Metronidazole) administered intravaginally once or twice daily for 5 days.

• Once daily dosing is preferably administered at bedtime.

• Administration instructions: Wash hands before and after use. Insert the gel using the applicator as deep as comfortably possible. Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment unless advised otherwise.
