Frenia 2 mg Tablet contains Frenia (active ingredient: 2 mg), an atypical neuroleptic drug designed for the treatment of schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders, and mania associated with bipolar disorder. It is particularly effective in managing both positive symptoms (such as hallucinations, delusions, thought disturbances, hostility, and suspiciousness) and negative symptoms (including emotional withdrawal, blunted affect, and poverty of speech). Frenia 2 mg also alleviates affective symptoms like depression, guilt feelings, and anxiety associated with schizophrenia and maintains clinical improvement during continuation therapy in responsive patients.

Frenia 2 mg Tablet is indicated for:
Acute and chronic schizophrenic psychoses
Other psychotic conditions with prominent positive or negative symptoms
Affective symptoms associated with schizophrenia, including depression and anxiety
Maintenance therapy in patients who have responded to initial treatment
Treatment of mania in bipolar disorder
Atypical Neuroleptic / Second-Generation Antipsychotic
Frenia 2 mg is a selective monoaminergic antagonist with high affinity for serotonin 5-HT2 and dopamine D2 receptors. It also binds to alpha1-adrenergic receptors and, to a lesser extent, H1 histamine and alpha2-adrenergic receptors, while having negligible affinity for cholinergic receptors. Its balanced antagonism of dopamine and serotonin helps reduce positive symptoms of schizophrenia while minimizing motor side effects and extending therapeutic effects to negative and affective symptoms.
