Gentum Eye Drop 0.30% contains Gentamicin Sulfate, a potent aminoglycoside antibiotic formulated for ophthalmic use. It is designed to treat bacterial eye infections by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which leads to the death of susceptible bacteria. Gentum Eye Drop is effective against a broad range of Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria, making it a reliable choice for common ocular infections.
Gentamicin’s mechanism of action targets bacterial ribosomes, preventing them from producing essential proteins. This results in rapid bacterial clearance and helps reduce inflammation, redness, and discomfort associated with eye infections. Gentum Eye Drop is sterile, preservative-free, and safe for topical use under medical guidance.
