Composition

Each film-coated tablet contains:

• Linagliptin 2.5 mg
• Metformin Hydrochloride 850 mg

Mechanism of Action

• Linagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin hormone levels (GLP-1 and GIP), enhancing insulin secretion and reducing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner.
• Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues.

Together, they provide complementary mechanisms that result in better glycemic control with a lower risk of hypoglycemia compared to some other combinations.

Indications

Glipxen-M Tablet is indicated for:

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

Dosage and Administration
