Miraba Tablet 10 mg contains Mirogabalin Besylate, a selective α2δ ligand of voltage-gated calcium channels, designed for the management of chronic neuropathic pain. This higher-dose formulation is indicated for patients who require increased therapeutic effect for peripheral neuropathic pain, such as that associated with diabetic neuropathy or postherpetic neuralgia, offering significant improvement in pain control and quality of life.

Antineuropathic Agent / Calcium Channel α2δ Ligand
Miraba Tablet 10 mg is indicated for:
Peripheral neuropathic pain associated with diabetes (diabetic neuropathy)
Postherpetic neuralgia following shingles infection
Chronic neuropathic pain not adequately managed with lower doses or conventional analgesics
Mirogabalin Besylate binds selectively to the α2δ subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. By inhibiting calcium influx in overactive neurons, it reduces the release of excitatory neurotransmitters involved in pain signaling. This mechanism results in:
Decreased neuronal hyperexcitability
Attenuation of spontaneous and evoked neuropathic pain
Targeted action with reduced central nervous system adverse effects compared to traditional gabapentinoids
Recommended dose: 10 mg orally, once daily
Dose may be adjusted based on patient response and tolerability
Tablets should be swallowed whole with water, with or without food
Dose adjustments may be necessary for patients with renal impairment
Regular assessment of pain control and side effects is advised
Common side effects may include:
Dizziness or drowsiness
Headache
Nausea or vomiting
Peripheral edema
Less common but serious side effects:
Confusion or mood changes
Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)
Impaired coordination or balance
Sedation affecting daily activities
Hypersensitivity to Mirogabalin or any component of the formulation
Severe renal impairment without dose adjustment
Pregnancy and lactation unless prescribed by a healthcare provider
Use caution in elderly patients or those prone to falls or sedation
Avoid alcohol or concomitant CNS depressants while taking Miraba
Not suitable for acute pain or sudden-onset pain episodes
Monitor for central nervous system depression and signs of mood changes
May potentiate sedative effects when used with alcohol, benzodiazepines, or other CNS depressants
Dose adjustments may be required in patients receiving multiple medications affecting renal clearance or CNS function
Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C
Protect from light and moisture
Keep out of reach of children
Mirogabalin Besylate selectively targets the α2δ subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the CNS, reducing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters. This action attenuates peripheral neuropathic pain signals, providing effective relief from chronic nerve pain while minimizing systemic side effects.
