Rostil 135 mg Tablet contains Mebeverine, a musculotropic antispasmodic used to relieve gastrointestinal spasms and discomfort. It is particularly effective in managing Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), chronic irritable colon, colicky abdominal pain, mucous colitis, spastic constipation, and persistent non-specific diarrhea. By relaxing the smooth muscles of the gut, Rostil 135 mg helps restore normal bowel movements and alleviate pain without affecting normal gut motility.

Rostil 135 mg is indicated for the symptomatic relief of:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Chronic irritable colon
Spastic constipation
Mucous colitis
Colicky abdominal pain
Persistent non-specific diarrhea
Anticholinergics – Musculotropic Antispasmodic
Mebeverine acts directly on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, producing relaxation of spasms without affecting normal peristalsis. Unlike systemic anticholinergics, it does not have significant central nervous system effects. This targeted action helps reduce abdominal cramping, bloating, and discomfort associated with IBS and other functional gastrointestinal disorders.

Mebeverine, the active ingredient in Rostil 135 mg, acts as a musculotropic antispasmodic. It relaxes the smooth muscle fibers of the gastrointestinal tract, reduces spasm-induced pain, and restores normal gut motility. Unlike classical anticholinergics, it does not interfere with normal bowel movements or central nervous system functions, making it safe for long-term symptomatic management of IBS and related disorders.
