SUBA-i Capsule 65 mg contains Itraconazole, a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent used in the treatment of a wide range of fungal infections. This formulation is designed to provide enhanced absorption and improved bioavailability, ensuring consistent therapeutic levels in the body.
Itraconazole works by inhibiting fungal growth and preventing the spread of infection. SUBA-i Capsule 65 mg is commonly prescribed for both superficial and systemic fungal infections affecting the skin, nails, and internal organs. Due to its strong antifungal activity and favorable pharmacokinetic profile, it is widely used in dermatological and systemic fungal conditions.

Triazole Antifungal Agent
SUBA-i Capsule 65 mg is indicated for the treatment of:
Onychomycosis (fungal nail infection)
Dermatophytosis (ringworm infections of skin)
Tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis
Pityriasis versicolor
Oral and esophageal candidiasis
Vulvovaginal candidiasis
Systemic fungal infections such as histoplasmosis, blastomycosis, and aspergillosis (as directed by a physician)
It may also be used in immunocompromised patients who are at risk of invasive fungal infections.
Itraconazole is a synthetic triazole antifungal that inhibits the fungal cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase. This enzyme is essential for the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of the fungal cell membrane.
By disrupting ergosterol production, Itraconazole alters the permeability of the fungal cell membrane, leading to leakage of cellular contents and inhibition of fungal growth. The drug exhibits both fungistatic and fungicidal activity depending on the concentration and organism involved.
The SUBA (Super Bioavailability) formulation enhances drug absorption, offering more predictable plasma concentrations compared to conventional itraconazole capsules.
The dosage and duration of therapy depend on the type and severity of infection and should be determined by a registered healthcare professional.
General guidelines include:
For dermatophytosis: Usually taken once or twice daily for 1–4 weeks
For onychomycosis: Pulse therapy or continuous therapy as prescribed
For systemic infections: Higher doses and longer duration may be required
SUBA-i Capsule should be taken as directed by the physician. Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not crush or chew. Adherence to the full course of treatment is essential to prevent recurrence.
