Temonix Capsule 250 mg contains Temozolomide, an oral alkylating chemotherapy medicine used in the treatment of certain malignant brain tumors. It is primarily indicated for glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma. Temozolomide works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells, leading to inhibition of tumor growth and cell death.

Composition
-
Active Ingredient: Temozolomide 250 mg
Mechanism of Action
Temozolomide is a prodrug that converts in the body into its active metabolite, MTIC (monomethyl triazeno imidazole carboxamide). MTIC causes methylation of DNA at the O6 and N7 positions of guanine, resulting in DNA damage. This prevents cancer cells from replicating and leads to their programmed cell death, particularly in rapidly dividing tumor cells.
