Indications

Traxef Injection is indicated for:

• Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)
• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Septicemia (bloodstream infections)
• Meningitis
• Bone and joint infections
• Gonorrhea and other susceptible bacterial infections

Mechanism of Action

Ceftriaxone works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to:

• Disruption of cell wall formation
• Weakening of bacterial structure
• Bacterial cell death

This makes it a bactericidal antibiotic effective against a wide range of pathogens.

Dosage and Administration
