Composition

Each tablet contains:

• Amlodipine Besilate 5 mg
• Atorvastatin 10 mg

Indications

Trovastin Tablet is indicated for:

• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol)
• Mixed dyslipidemia with hypertension
• Prevention of cardiovascular diseases
• Reduction of risk of heart attack and stroke in high-risk patients

Mechanism of Action

This combination works through two complementary mechanisms:

• Amlodipine: A calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels by inhibiting calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, reducing blood pressure.
• Atorvastatin: A HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) that lowers LDL cholesterol by reducing cholesterol synthesis in the liver and improving lipid profile.
