Indications

Ursotab Tablet is indicated for:

• Gallstones (cholesterol gallstones in functioning gallbladder)
• Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC)
• Cholestatic liver diseases
• Fatty liver disease (as supportive therapy)
• Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (under medical supervision)
• Liver disorders associated with bile flow impairment

Mechanism of Action

Ursodeoxycholic Acid works through multiple actions:

• Reduces cholesterol absorption and secretion into bile
• Dissolves cholesterol-rich gallstones
• Protects liver cells from toxic bile acids
• Improves bile flow (choleretic effect)
• Reduces inflammation in liver tissue

Dosage and Administration
