Indications

Xovir Injection is indicated for the treatment of:

• Herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections, including severe genital herpes
• Herpes simplex encephalitis (brain infection)
• Varicella-zoster virus (shingles and severe chickenpox)
• Neonatal herpes infections
• Cytomegalovirus (CMV) prophylaxis in select immunocompromised patients (as prescribed)

Mechanism of Action
