Acnegel Gel 0.1% + 2.5% is indicated for the treatment of:
Mild to moderate acne vulgaris
Inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions such as papules, pustules, blackheads, and whiteheads
Acne involving the face, chest, and back
This combination therapy is effective in reducing acne severity and preventing recurrence.
Topical retinoid and antibacterial anti-acne preparation
Adapalene is a synthetic retinoid that modulates cellular differentiation, keratinization, and inflammatory processes. It helps normalize the shedding of skin cells within hair follicles, preventing comedone formation and promoting the resolution of existing lesions. Benzoyl Peroxide is a potent antibacterial agent that reduces acne-causing bacteria, particularly Cutibacterium acnes. It also has keratolytic and mild anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce excess oil. The combination provides complementary and synergistic effects for effective acne management.
Acnegel Gel should be applied once daily, preferably in the evening.
Cleanse the affected area gently and pat dry
Apply a thin layer of the gel to the entire affected area, not just individual lesions
Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mucous membranes
Wash hands thoroughly after application
Visible improvement may take several weeks, and continued use is recommended as directed by a healthcare professional.
Concomitant use with other topical acne treatments, exfoliants, or products containing alcohol, sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid may increase skin irritation. Caution is advised when using abrasive cleansers or cosmetic products that cause dryness or peeling.
Acnegel Gel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Adapalene, Benzoyl Peroxide, or any component of the formulation.
Common side effects include mild redness, dryness, peeling, burning, or stinging sensation at the application site. These effects are usually temporary and tend to decrease with continued use. Rarely, severe skin irritation or allergic reactions may occur.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or artificial UV light while using Acnegel Gel. Use protective clothing or sunscreen when exposure is unavoidable. The product may cause bleaching of hair or colored fabrics. Use with caution on sensitive skin and avoid application on broken or eczematous skin.
