Composition

• Active Ingredients:
  • Amlodipine Besilate 5 mg (Calcium channel blocker)
  • Telmisartan 40 mg (Angiotensin II receptor blocker)

Mechanism of Action

• Amlodipine Besilate relaxes and widens blood vessels by inhibiting calcium influx in vascular smooth muscles, reducing peripheral resistance and lowering blood pressure.
• Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptors, preventing vasoconstriction and reducing aldosterone-mediated sodium and water retention.
• The combination leads to enhanced blood pressure reduction, improved cardiac workload, and protection of cardiovascular organs.

Indications

Arbitel AM Tablet 5 mg+40 mg is indicated for:
