Composition
-
Active Ingredients:
-
Amlodipine Besilate 5 mg (Calcium channel blocker)
-
Telmisartan 40 mg (Angiotensin II receptor blocker)
Mechanism of Action
-
Amlodipine Besilate relaxes and widens blood vessels by inhibiting calcium influx in vascular smooth muscles, reducing peripheral resistance and lowering blood pressure.
-
Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptors, preventing vasoconstriction and reducing aldosterone-mediated sodium and water retention.
-
The combination leads to enhanced blood pressure reduction, improved cardiac workload, and protection of cardiovascular organs.
