Avatan Eye Drop 0.004% contains Travoprost, a prostaglandin F2α analogue used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Increased pressure inside the eye can gradually damage the optic nerve, potentially leading to irreversible vision loss if left untreated. Travoprost helps lower eye pressure effectively, reducing the risk of glaucoma-related vision impairment.
Travoprost works by increasing the natural outflow of aqueous humor (the fluid inside the eye) through the uveoscleral pathway. By improving fluid drainage, it lowers intraocular pressure throughout the day and night with the convenience of once-daily dosing. Regular use as prescribed helps protect the optic nerve and preserve vision over the long term.
Avatan Eye Drop is intended for adults and, in selected cases, pediatric patients as recommended by an ophthalmologist. Since glaucoma often progresses without noticeable symptoms, it is important to continue using the medication even if vision seems normal. Routine eye examinations and pressure monitoring are essential to evaluate treatment effectiveness.

Avatan Eye Drop 0.004% is indicated for:
Travoprost is a prostaglandin analogue that increases the outflow of aqueous humor through the uveoscleral drainage pathway. This enhanced drainage reduces the accumulation of fluid within the eye, lowering intraocular pressure. Maintaining a healthy eye pressure helps protect the optic nerve from damage and reduces the risk of progressive vision loss associated with glaucoma.
Use Avatan Eye Drop exactly as prescribed by your ophthalmologist. The usual recommended dose is one drop into the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.
Wash your hands before use. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye, eyelids, or any surface to prevent contamination. After instilling the drop, gently close your eyes for 1–2 minutes and apply light pressure to the inner corner of the eye to reduce systemic absorption.
If you use other eye medications, allow at least 5 minutes between different eye drops.
Like all medicines, Avatan Eye Drop may cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them.
