Radimet 850 mg is indicated for:
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus
Patients inadequately controlled with diet and exercise
Overweight or obese diabetic patients
Combination therapy with:
Sulfonylureas
DPP-4 inhibitors
SGLT2 inhibitors
Insulin
Other oral antidiabetic agents
It may also be prescribed in certain cases of insulin resistance or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), as determined by a physician.
It is not indicated for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
Metformin lowers blood glucose through multiple mechanisms:
