Indications

Floxabid Injection is indicated for the treatment of:

• Severe urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Lower respiratory tract infections
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Bone and joint infections
• Gastrointestinal infections (including typhoid fever)
• Septicemia (bloodstream infections)
• Complicated infections requiring parenteral therapy

Dosage and Administration

• Administered by intravenous infusion under medical supervision.
• The usual adult dose is 200–400 mg every 12 hours depending on the severity of infection.
• Infuse slowly over at least 60 minutes.
• Dosage adjustment may be required in patients with renal impairment.
• Therapy may be switched to oral Ciprofloxacin when clinically appropriate.
