Doltro Tablet 10 mg contains Ketorolac Tromethamine 10 mg, a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderate pain. Ketorolac provides effective analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which are responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins that cause pain, inflammation, and fever.
Doltro is commonly prescribed for postoperative pain, musculoskeletal pain, dental pain, and other acute pain conditions where rapid relief is needed. It is suitable for adults requiring short-term therapy, typically not exceeding 5 days, due to the risk of adverse effects associated with prolonged NSAID use. This makes Doltro an effective option for managing pain without opioids, improving comfort and patient recovery after minor procedures or injuries.

Ketorolac Tromethamine, the active ingredient in Doltro, is a non-selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2). By blocking these enzymes, Ketorolac decreases the production of prostaglandins, which are chemical mediators responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever.
Analgesic effect: Reduces pain by limiting prostaglandin-mediated stimulation of nerve endings.
Anti-inflammatory effect: Decreases inflammation by reducing prostaglandin-mediated vasodilation and fluid accumulation.
Antipyretic effect: Lowers fever by acting on the hypothalamus to regulate body temperature.
This dual effect on pain and inflammation makes Doltro highly effective for managing acute pain conditions.
The typical adult dose is one tablet (10 mg) every 4–6 hours as needed for pain.
