Each 2 ml injection contains:
Diclofenac Sodium BP 75 mg
Lidocaine Hydrochloride BP 20 mg
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with local anesthetic
Diclofenac Sodium is a well-established NSAID that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins. This action helps alleviate pain, inflammation, and swelling at the site of tissue injury or inflammation.
Lidocaine Hydrochloride is a local anesthetic that stabilizes neuronal membranes by inhibiting ionic fluxes required for the initiation and conduction of nerve impulses. When combined with diclofenac, lidocaine helps reduce injection-related pain and provides immediate local analgesia, improving overall tolerability.
The combination ensures fast onset of pain relief along with sustained anti-inflammatory action.
