Lifil-E 400 mg is a high-potency vitamin E preparation used to prevent and treat vitamin E deficiency and support overall health. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that protects cellular membranes and oxygen-sensitive substances such as vitamin A and vitamin C from oxidative damage. Lifil-E 400 mg helps maintain cardiovascular health, supports healthy skin and hair, and protects red blood cells from oxidative stress.
It is also used therapeutically in conditions such as hemolytic anemia, heavy metal toxicity, hepatotoxin poisoning, and during oxygen therapy. Lifil-E 400 mg is suitable for both adults and children as a dietary supplement or adjunct therapy for specific clinical conditions.

Vitamin E (tocopherol) acts as a powerful antioxidant in the body. It protects polyunsaturated fatty acids in cellular membranes and oxygen-sensitive vitamins, preventing oxidative damage.
In premature neonates, vitamin E deficiency can lead to irritability, edema, thrombosis, and hemolytic anemia.
In adults and children, low serum tocopherol levels can result in creatinuria, ceroid deposition, muscle weakness, decreased erythrocyte survival, and increased susceptibility to oxidative hemolysis.
By neutralizing free radicals, vitamin E helps maintain healthy cells, tissues, and organs while reducing oxidative stress-related complications.
Dosage depends on the purpose of supplementation and age:
Cardiovascular health: 400–800 IU per day
Deficiency in adults: 200–400 IU per day
Deficiency in children: 200 IU per day
Thalassemia: 800 IU per day
Sickle-cell anemia: 400 IU per day
Skin and hair improvement: 200–400 IU per day (topical use also effective)
Chronic cold in adults: 200 IU per day
Always follow physician guidance for dosage, especially for therapeutic purposes.
Vitamin E may impair absorption of vitamin A
May interfere with vitamin K function
Potentiates the anticoagulant effect of warfarin, increasing bleeding risk
No absolute contraindications have been reported
Use caution in patients at risk of thrombosis, such as those on estrogen therapy
Overdosage (>1 g/day) may cause:
Fatigue
Diarrhea
Myopathy
Mild hypertension
Most side effects are mild and reversible upon dose adjustment.
Safe when used at recommended doses
High-dose safety is not established; avoid exceeding recommended amounts
May increase the risk of thrombosis in susceptible patients
Monitor patients on anticoagulants or estrogen therapy for bleeding risks
Store in a dry, cool place, away from light and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
Safe for children when used as recommended
Suitable for adults and pregnant or lactating women within recommended doses.
