Maxima 20 mg contains Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that effectively reduces stomach acid production. It is widely used for the treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and erosive esophagitis. By controlling excess acid secretion, Maxima 20 mg provides long-lasting relief from heartburn, acid regurgitation, and stomach discomfort while promoting healing of the esophageal lining.

Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI)
Esomeprazole is the S-isomer of omeprazole and works by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells. This enzyme is responsible for the final step in gastric acid production.
By blocking this pump, Maxima 20 mg:
Significantly reduces gastric acid secretion
Promotes ulcer healing
Relieves acid-related symptoms
Helps prevent recurrence of acid-induced damage
