Momet-F Inhaler (200 mcg+5 mcg)/puff is a combination inhalation therapy containing Mometasone Furoate and Formoterol Fumarate, designed for the long-term management of asthma and other obstructive airway conditions. This dual-action inhaler combines a corticosteroid with a long-acting bronchodilator to provide both anti-inflammatory control and sustained airway relaxation.
Momet-F Inhaler helps reduce airway inflammation, prevent asthma symptoms, and improve breathing capacity. It is intended for regular maintenance therapy and not for the relief of acute bronchospasm.

Corticosteroid + Long-Acting Beta2-Agonist (LABA)
Anti-asthmatic Combination Therapy
Momet-F Inhaler is indicated for:
Maintenance treatment of asthma
Prevention of asthma symptoms such as wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and coughing
Long-term control of airway inflammation
Patients not adequately controlled on inhaled corticosteroids alone
Patients requiring combination therapy for improved symptom control
Momet-F Inhaler contains two active components with complementary mechanisms:
Mometasone Furoate is a potent inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation by inhibiting inflammatory mediators and suppressing immune responses in the respiratory tract. This decreases airway swelling, mucus production, and hyper-responsiveness.
Formoterol Fumarate is a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA) that stimulates beta2 receptors in bronchial smooth muscle, leading to relaxation of the airways. It provides rapid onset and prolonged bronchodilation, lasting up to 12 hours.
Together, these agents improve lung function, reduce exacerbations, and provide sustained asthma control.
Recommended dose: As prescribed by the physician based on severity of asthma
Common dosage: 1–2 puffs twice daily
Inhale through the mouth using proper inhaler technique
Rinse mouth with water after each use to reduce the risk of oral fungal infection
Not intended for acute asthma attacks; a rescue inhaler should be used for sudden symptoms
Patients should follow their healthcare provider’s instructions carefully and not exceed the recommended dose.
Common side effects may include:
Hoarseness
Sore throat
Oral candidiasis (thrush)
Headache
Tremor
Less common but serious side effects:
Paradoxical bronchospasm
Palpitations
Hypersensitivity reactions
Adrenal suppression with prolonged high-dose use
Hypersensitivity to Mometasone, Formoterol, or any component of the inhaler
Primary treatment of status asthmaticus or acute asthma episodes
Not a rescue medication for acute bronchospasm
Use caution in patients with cardiovascular disorders, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, or seizure disorders
Monitor growth in pediatric patients
Prolonged use may increase the risk of systemic corticosteroid effects
Do not abruptly discontinue therapy without medical advice
Beta-blockers may reduce the bronchodilatory effect
Concomitant use with other LABAs is not recommended
Caution with CYP3A4 inhibitors which may increase corticosteroid exposure
Store below 30°C
Protect from direct sunlight and moisture
Keep out of reach of children
Do not puncture or expose to excessive heat
Momet-F Inhaler works by combining anti-inflammatory and bronchodilatory effects. Mometasone reduces airway inflammation, while Formoterol relaxes bronchial smooth muscle. This dual mechanism provides sustained control of asthma symptoms and improves overall respiratory function.
