Indications

Zerotil Tablet 500 mg is indicated for the treatment of:

• Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis)
• Ear, nose, and throat (ENT) infections such as sinusitis and otitis media
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs), including complicated cases
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Gonorrhea (as prescribed by a physician)

Mechanism of Action

Cefuroxime Axetil is a prodrug that converts into active cefuroxime after absorption. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis through binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs).
