Non-opioid analgesics
Napa Syrup 15 ml is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain and fever associated with a variety of conditions, including:
Fever, common cold, and influenza
Headache, toothache, and earache
Body ache, myalgia, and neuralgia
Dysmenorrhoea
Sprains, colic pain, and back pain
Post-operative and postpartum pain
Inflammatory pain
Post-vaccination pain in children
Rheumatic pain and osteoarthritic pain with joint stiffness
Its broad indication profile makes it suitable for routine pediatric use as well as general pain and fever management.
Paracetamol exhibits analgesic and antipyretic properties with weak anti-inflammatory activity. It acts mainly within the central nervous system, where it raises the pain threshold and reduces fever by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1, COX-2, and COX-3) involved in prostaglandin synthesis.
As a para-aminophenol derivative, Paracetamol is well absorbed and fast acting. Unlike aspirin and many NSAIDs, Napa Syrup does not significantly irritate the gastric mucosa or interfere with platelet function, making it a safer option for children and patients who cannot tolerate aspirin.

Adults: 4–8 teaspoonfuls, 3–4 times daily
The recommended dose should not be exceeded to avoid toxicity.
Concurrent use with alcohol, barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, anticonvulsants, or oral steroid contraceptives may alter Paracetamol metabolism and increase the risk of liver toxicity, particularly with high or prolonged dosing.
Napa Syrup 15 ml is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol.
Side effects are generally mild and uncommon. Rarely reported adverse effects include skin rashes, allergic reactions, and hematological changes such as thrombocytopenia or leucopenia.
Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment and in those taking other hepatotoxic drugs. Long-term or excessive use should be avoided.
Pregnancy Category B according to USFDA. Napa Syrup should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Paracetamol is excreted into breast milk in small amounts, but therapeutic doses are considered safe for nursing infants.
