Indications

Nervalin Capsule 75 mg is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions:

• Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN)

• Post-herpetic neuralgia (nerve pain following shingles)

• Neuropathic pain due to spinal cord injury

• Fibromyalgia

• Adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures in adults and pediatric patients (older than one month)

Pharmacology

Pregabalin is a structural analogue of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), though it does not directly act on GABA receptors. Instead, it binds with high affinity to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. This binding reduces calcium influx into nerve terminals, thereby decreasing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters involved in pain perception and seizure propagation. Contraindications
