Nervalin Capsule 75 mg contains Pregabalin, a well-established medication widely used for the management of neuropathic pain and as an adjunctive therapy in certain seizure disorders. It is especially effective in conditions where nerve damage or dysfunction leads to chronic pain. Nervalin works by modulating nerve signals in the central nervous system, helping to reduce pain intensity and abnormal nerve activity, thereby improving patients’ quality of life.

Supplemental anti-epileptic medication
Nervalin Capsule 75 mg is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions:
Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN)
Post-herpetic neuralgia (nerve pain following shingles)
Neuropathic pain due to spinal cord injury
Fibromyalgia
Adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures in adults and pediatric patients (older than one month)
Pregabalin is a structural analogue of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), though it does not directly act on GABA receptors. Instead, it binds with high affinity to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. This binding reduces calcium influx into nerve terminals, thereby decreasing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters involved in pain perception and seizure propagation. Pregabalin has high oral bioavailability (approximately 90%) that is dose-independent and is primarily excreted unchanged via the kidneys.
The dosage of Nervalin Capsule 75 mg should be individualized based on the patient’s condition, response, and tolerability.
Neuropathic pain and fibromyalgia: Treatment usually starts at 75 mg once or twice daily and may be gradually increased as needed.
Post-herpetic neuralgia and spinal cord injury pain: Initial doses often begin at 150 mg per day in divided doses.
Partial-onset seizures: Used as adjunctive therapy with gradual dose titration.
Nervalin capsules can be taken with or without food. Dose adjustments may be necessary in patients with impaired renal function.

Nervalin Capsule 75 mg is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pregabalin or any of the capsule components.
Commonly reported side effects include dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth, blurred vision, peripheral edema, weight gain, and difficulty with concentration. These effects are generally dose-related and often diminish with continued therapy.
Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, heart failure, or those taking other central nervous system depressants. Abrupt discontinuation should be avoided, as it may increase the risk of withdrawal symptoms or seizure frequency. Gradual tapering over at least one week is recommended.
Nervalin Capsule 75 mg should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefits justify the potential risk to the fetus. Pregabalin is excreted in breast milk; therefore, caution is advised when administering to breastfeeding mothers.
Store in a cool and dry place below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
