Composition

Indications

Spirocard Plus Tablet is indicated for:

• Congestive heart failure with edema
• Ascites due to liver cirrhosis
• Nephrotic syndrome with fluid retention
• Resistant hypertension with fluid overload
• Generalized edema due to kidney or cardiac conditions

Mechanism of Action

Spirocard Plus combines two diuretics with complementary actions:

• Furosemide: A loop diuretic that acts on the loop of Henle in the kidney, increasing excretion of sodium, chloride, and water, leading to rapid reduction of fluid overload.
• Spironolactone: A potassium-sparing diuretic and aldosterone antagonist that prevents potassium loss while reducing sodium and water retention.

Together, they provide effective fluid removal while minimizing the risk of potassium imbalance.

Dosage & Administration
