Composition

Indications

Spirocard Tablet is indicated for:

• Congestive heart failure with edema
• Hypertension (as adjunct therapy)
• Ascites due to liver cirrhosis
• Nephrotic syndrome with fluid retention
• Primary hyperaldosteronism
• Prevention and treatment of hypokalemia in diuretic therapy

Mechanism of Action

Spironolactone is an aldosterone antagonist that acts on the distal renal tubules. It blocks aldosterone receptors, reducing sodium and water reabsorption while decreasing potassium excretion.
