Composition

Indications

Urotam Capsule is indicated for:

• Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
• Urinary obstruction due to enlarged prostate
• Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in men
• Difficulty in urination, weak urine flow, and nocturia

Mechanism of Action

Tamsulosin selectively blocks alpha-1A adrenergic receptors located in the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck. This leads to relaxation of these muscles, improving urine flow and reducing urinary obstruction symptoms associated with BPH.

Dosage and Administration

• Usual dose: 0.4 mg once daily or as prescribed by a physician
• Take 30 minutes after the same meal each day
