Therapeutic Uses

Eramox Injection is indicated for the treatment of:

• Community-acquired pneumonia
• Complicated skin and soft tissue infections
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Acute bacterial sinusitis
• Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis
• Pelvic inflammatory disease (in selected cases)
• Other susceptible bacterial infections as determined by a physician

It is often used when first-line antibiotics are not effective or appropriate.

Mechanism of Action

Moxifloxacin works by interfering with bacterial DNA processes:

• Inhibits bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV
• Prevents DNA replication, transcription, and repair
• Leads to bacterial cell death
• Exhibits bactericidal (bacteria-killing) activity
