Lubric Eye Drop 1% is a viscous ophthalmic solution containing Hypromellose, designed to relieve dryness and irritation of the eyes. It is ideal for patients suffering from dry eye syndrome, exposure to environmental irritants, or conditions that reduce tear production. By providing a protective layer over the ocular surface, Lubric Eye Drop 1% alleviates discomfort, reduces friction between the eyelid and cornea, and helps maintain eye moisture for longer periods.

Ocular Lubricants / Artificial Tears
Lubric Eye Drop 1% is indicated for:
Dry eye syndrome: Relieves discomfort from insufficient tear production
Irritation caused by environmental factors: Dust, wind, smoke, or prolonged screen exposure
Contact lens discomfort: Can be used to relieve dryness during contact lens wear (check lens compatibility)
Post-surgical or post-procedural use: Supports eye hydration and comfort after ophthalmic procedures
Hypromellose is a water-soluble polymer that acts as a viscoelastic lubricant. When instilled in the eye, it:
Forms a protective coating over the cornea and conjunctiva
Reduces ocular surface friction, preventing further irritation
Enhances tear film stability, improving eye hydration
Temporarily replaces natural tears, providing symptomatic relief
Hypromellose is biologically inert, non-irritating, and does not alter normal ocular physiology. It is rapidly distributed over the ocular surface and maintains lubrication for several hours, depending on the severity of dryness.
Adults and children: Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, typically 3–6 times daily
Can be used more frequently for severe dryness or as advised by a physician
Shake well before use to ensure uniform consistency
For contact lens wearers, remove lenses prior to instillation unless the product is labeled safe for lenses
Provides immediate and long-lasting relief from dryness, burning, or irritation
Protects the cornea and conjunctiva from friction and environmental damage
Improves comfort during screen use, prolonged reading, or contact lens wear
Supports ocular surface healing after minor procedures or irritation
Known hypersensitivity to Hypromellose or any component of the formulation
Not suitable for use in eyes with active infection unless prescribed with appropriate therapy
Mild, transient blurred vision immediately after instillation
Rarely, eye irritation or stinging may occur
No systemic side effects are expected
For ophthalmic use only; avoid contamination of the dropper tip
If redness, pain, or visual changes persist, discontinue use and consult an eye specialist
Safe for long-term use under medical supervision
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
Hypromellose provides artificial lubrication by forming a thin, protective film over the eye surface. This layer mimics natural tears, reducing friction between the eyelid and cornea and maintaining hydration, which helps relieve the symptoms of dry eye and ocular irritation.
Safe for use during pregnancy and lactation as Hypromellose is minimally absorbed systemically
Consult a physician for prolonged use during pregnancy
Store at 15–25°C in a tightly closed container, away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
